01

Identify the application

New supply, reconnection, a load change and an account-name transfer are different requests. Check the bill and official application channels; requirements vary.

02

CLP: prepare for inspection

CLP’s residential guidance calls for the relevant installation inspection. Complete the work, confirm the address and phase demand, arrange the REW’s attendance and a WR1 copy, and provide safe meter access.

03

HK Electric: prepare the documents

HK Electric’s application form identifies WR1 for new supply and load changes. Its notes require a completed certificate copy by inspection and an appropriate-grade REW on site. Confirm the requirements for the application.

04

Assess a load increase first

Have the responsible electrical team assess demand and the existing installation. CLP load changes require rising-main owner agreement; exceeding the permitted load needs the specified formal consent.

05

Certify after the required checks

The responsible REW signs and the corresponding REC endorses WR1 after the required work and checks. A quotation or draft PDF does not mean inspection has passed or supply is approved.
